Fat-Ypus E-Motion E.R. (2011)

This is one of our favorite women’s powder skis. The small dose of tip rocker was enough to dispel any notions of unwieldiness testers harbored based on its size. It manages to wiggle through trees and bumps just fine, but it really thrives on wide-open steeps where it has room to run. It requires some muscle and aggression to move and therefore isn’t well suited to intermediates looking for a first fatty. And while it carves decent GS turns on firm snow, it craves powder.
