The 102-waisted Kung Fujas, part of K2Õs Factory Team series of athlete-inspired, youth-driven twintips, is the pro model of K2 Pep Fujas. K2 calls it the most versatile tool in the series, Òfrom pillows to park, trails to rails, trees to tricks and firm snow to soft.Ó ItÕs available flat or pre-drilled with binding insert rings to accept the 12-DIN Marker Griffon Schizo binding, which allows on-hill switching of mounting point over a 6 cm range ($1,190 with binding). ItÕs a metal-free wood-core (paulownia) construction. K2Õs TwinTech sidewalls are beveled inward at the top to protect them from damage caused by the other skiÕs edge. With its Bi-Directional Taper shape, the tip is only slightly wider than the tail, so its effective sidecut radius isnÕt drastically different going backward than it is going forward. K2Õs All-Terrain Rocker combines 70 percent camber with 30 percent tip/shovel rocker to smooth the ride, enhance forgiveness and improve soft-snow flotation. The Powder Tip is tapered so itÕs smeary and less easily deflected and swing weight is reduced. Tip and tail hardware is removable, and the holes readily accept trim-to-fit K2 skins for touring. As with all Factory Team skis, the edges are extra thick (3.5 mm) for enhanced durability, and the base graphic is as cool as the topsheet.
