Liberty Double Helix (2011)

In theory, the Double Helix is a floaty powder board with hard-snow carving skills. The theory was borne out, except that the outside ski tended to wander on hardpack—possibly a function of our test model’s tune. Regardless, it’s an adept, intuitive powder ski that requires little thought in the deep stuff; just point it and charge. Mild tip rocker enhances handling and makes smearing easy. It flows smoothly from one turn to the next and crushes crud. Elongated tips aren’t too hooky and are easily driven.
