#2: Alta/Snowbird, Utah

Just in time for holiday traffic, Utah ski resorts receive a major addition to their base. Jess Kunzer of Ski Utah says, "We are stoked. The timing on this storm couldn't have been better. Utah ski and snowboard resorts across the state received as much as 48 inches of snow in 48 hours. Conditions should be wonderful for holiday visitors." Snowbird and Alta, in Utah's Little Cottonwood Canyon, are reporting totals of 44 and 39 inches, respectively. Northern resorts, such as Ogden's Powder Mountain, claim a new 15 inches from the storm. Check out the new snow totals.
