Salt Lake City, UT, Mar.1 2004--Utah's Wasatch Mountain resorts welcomed the second largest snowstorm of the season over the weekend starting Thursday, Feb. 26. The resorts received over four feet of "The Greatest Snow on Earth" pushing snow totals to just under the 500-inch mark.

With the month of March traditionally seeing some of the highest accumulations of the season, the winter of 2003-04 is on pace to record a top-five ranking in terms of total snowfall. With just average precipitation in March and April, numbers could approach the 700-inch mark. Winter weather is forecast to continue this week with significant accumulations likely.
