Scottie Ewing

The charge is boring. The life of Scottie Ewing is not.

A former pro freeskier and BMX racer, Ewing was charged yesterday by the US Attorney's office with failing to pay taxes on a prostitution service he ran out of his Denver Sugar/Denver Players nightclub. The charge was announced in federal court Tuesday afternoon. Ewing, who currently operates a "swingers club" called The Sugar House in Denver, is charged with operating and selling "a prostitution business," and using "an entity called Sindicate Media & Consulting, LLC to perform business functions, such as credit card processing, to disguise from the Internal Revenue Service the true source and amount of the income he received from Denver Sugar/Denver Players," according to the criminal information filed Tuesday.

"He (Ewing) has admitted to not filing taxes for 2005," said Ewing's attorney, Dan Sears, according to local CBS affiliate KCNC-TV. "He is assuming his responsibility to the US Government and that is about all we have to say at this point." Ewing has not been made available for comment.
