Park City, UT, Nov. 10-- The U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association announced today that this weekend's opening event of the SuperSeries competition will move from Winter Park Resort, CO, to nearby Breckenridge, CO.

Citing spotty snow conditions, officials decided to move the event to Breckenridge, which has been making snow regularly for about a month. Breckenridge opened to skiers on Oct. 29, although their base consists almost entirely of man-made snow.

In its second season, the SuperSeries is a twelve-event schedule of races in the United States for top male and female alpine skiers. The SuperSeries seeks to provide greater opportunities for young racers away from World Cup events. The SuperSeries is the U.S. portion of the Nor Am Cup.

The SuperSeries will kick off this Sunday and Monday, Nov. 14-15.
